Evangelism Ministry

1 Timothy 4:6-16
Leader: Thomas Fitzgerald Jr.
Mission: Sharing the Good News that Jesus gives us is both a joy and responsibility for us at Eastside. The mission of our Evangelism Ministry is to preach the Word, be urgent in season and out of season, set the believers an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and in purity.

Evangelism is helping all to grow in the image of Christ (Romans 8:29, Romans 12:2 and Galatians 4:19). Evangelism is helping others study God’s plan to restore mankind back into a favorable relationship with God. It is a holistic study to understand God’s intent for me to be with him through the work and words of his only son, Jesus, the Christ.

Who is my creator?

For what purpose was I created?

Is there a difference between existing and living?

Is it within me to direct my own steps in life?

These are just some of the questions we should ask ourselves from time to time, especially when we have the opportunity to think about our lives. This is not surprising, considering that we were created in God’s image. Mankind has and continues to accomplish great feats. So why do I feel the way I do? What’s hindering me from moving beyond my current limits? And why do I have this void in my life?

 Support Ministry – Worship/Media & Technology

Mission: To provide worship assemblies that will glorify God in-person and around the world using the latest technology to fulfill His wishes as well as provide an edifying experience for our family and visitors near and far.

The Worship/Media and Technology Ministry, is a group of, committed, gifted and talented people who use their God-given gifts to provide encouragement to God’s people. Our ministry members use their talents in the areas of Audio/Video Production, Graphic Design, Computer Networking, social media and a number of other technology platforms. We believe that the utilization of technology in today’s ever-changing world is vital to spreading God’s WORD.

Security Team

Mission: Maintain a watchful eye, ensuring assigned area is properly patrolled……Stay in communication with other security personnel. Respond to medical and other emergencies.

Our goal is to welcome everyone who enters the building adding an extra layer of hospitality. We want to ensure that members and visitors feel safe and protected and have peace of mind as they worship. We do this by being visible and vigilant, identifying suspicious activity

Support Ministry - Community

Mission: The support ministry is to help keep the church visual in our community.

Community Outreach gives us an experience with God’s purpose. And that purpose is spreading the Good News of Christ in word and deed to impact people in our community, country and the world. Outreach combines spiritual impact with social responsibility. In keeping with our mission, discipling the church to impact the world, members of ESCOC are equipped to use their spiritual gifts to advance the Kingdom of God at home and abroad.

Youth Ministry

Mission: To reach young people to make them feel part of a family, to equip them for life as a child of God and to send them into the world confident of who they are.

In this world there are many things that can distract our children. Our Youth Ministry strives to provide fun, spiritual and uplifting activities that help our youth be productive Christians in school, at home, in their community as well as at church. OUR GOAL is to assist parents as they seek to develop a discipled young person. A discipled youth is one wo is dedicated to the word of God, devoted to living a moral life, committed to God in life, fellowship, and worship and involved in opportunities to serve and minister.

Care Ministry

Galatians 6:2
Leader: Jasper Calvin Jr.
Mission: To glorify God through programs in which families are mutually edified and strengthened.

The purpose of the Care Ministry is to encourage, edify, inspire and motivate each and every member of the congregation to dedicate their lives to the church and to each other. For each group to function properly, certain responsibilities need to be carried out by dedicated individuals who are ready and willing to serve in various capacities.

Encouragement Through Meet & Greet – Meet new members through avenues of fellowship. Write Encouragement Cards. Follow-up on new members to ensure their involvement in worship and church activities.

Visitation – Visit the sick and shut-in. Serve communion during Sunday visits. Coordinate and deliver meals as needed.

Funerals – Contact the bereaved to help make arrangements. Arrange for members’ participation with setting up, serving and cleaning up following the meal service, if at ESCOC. Coordinate, prepare and deliver meals when needed.

Education Ministry

Ephesians 6:11-18
Mission: To present Jesus, His love, grace and salvation in a loving, caring manner resulting in a positive learning experience with soul-winning results.

The simplicity of the bible is that it shows us God’s plan for salvation from humanity through Jesus Christ. When we study the bible we can see this story unfolding, from Genesis to Revelation. Our main goal is to seek and to save the lost and to keep the saved save (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-16).
The term “teacher” is used in the scriptures to denote “one who teaches the things of God and the duties of man”. The purpose of the teacher is to impart instructions, to instill the doctrine of God into another, to prescribe, explain or expound a thing. Join us each week for bible class to learn more about Jesus Christ.
YOUTH CLASSES
At ESCOC we provide quality bible classes for your youth from toddlers to 12th grade. Join us on Sundays and Wednesdays and let your child learn more about the bible.
ADULT CLASSES
Our adult bible classes are designed to help develop the Christian in their spiritual development and growth. Our teachers use spiritually based lessons, practical application and provide an interactive setting creating a great learning environment.
